Today was the first big step. I received the preview plans I ordered a few days ago from Van’s. The preview plans are the entire construction manual along with 11 x 17 blue prints for the entire aircraft. Van’s requires you to order them first in order to (I’m guessing) make sure it is a project you can handle. In the days to come, I will be getting my shop ready: ordering tools, building some EAA Chapter 1000 work tables, and ultimately, ordering the empennage sub-kit.
