More riveting today. Finished up all the “bucked” rivets on the left side and moved onto the right. As I went, I found that putting a little masking tape over the mushroom set on the rivet gun reduces the marring on the skin. I saw this on some other builder sites. I’m planning on painting my plane so the marring isn’t making me lose any sleep but I figured, why not. I had about 2 dings here and there from not holding the set flat against the surface of the skin on it but from what I’ve seen on other builder sites that’s to be expected. And also the right side looks a bit better than the left (Another thing other builders have noticed).
