Today, I still can’t put the top rib on but decided to get as much of the skin riveted on as I could. Because the trailing edge must be “glued” in place with fuel tank sealant, I decided to go ahead and prep the surface now by roughing up the inside trailing edge of the skin.
Here, I used masking tape to protect the rest of the skin while I went over the edge with a scotch brite pad.
I was able to get to these 6 rivets with a squeezer and had to buck the lowest 3 on each side.
Also, got these with squeezer.
Didn’t quite finish getting the skins on. Didn’t have a lot of time today.
