Torque wrench finally arrived today so I was able to torque the bolts which hold the counterweight to the rib and close it up. I put a little red Loc-tite on the bolts. Don’t want them coming lose and since they are in a place which can’t be inspected I figured, “better safe than sorry.”
The skins are almost riveted on. The aftmost 3-4 rivets on each side of the top and bottom rib are very difficult to get to with either a squeezer or bucking bar. Van’s states that you can substitute pop rivets for the last 1-2. I stopped here for the night while I tried to figure something out.
