Rudder #2 – Day 13 – 6 hours

I had a nice busy day in the shop today. I riveted on the counterbalance skin and rib, installed the counterbalance, countersunk the trailing edge, clecoed the skins on, and riveted on the top rib.

The counterbalance all prepped and ready.

Got all the rivets with a squeezer thanks to my new thin nosed 4″ yoke

Counterbalance installed.

Masked the inside trailing edge of the skin so I could scuff it. This helps the sealant stick.

Trailing edge wedge all countersunk. Went much more smoothly this time.

Nabbed remaining rivets in counterbalance skin and riveted on tip rib. Blind rivets are used here.
