Over the next 4 to 8 years, I will be building a Van’s RV-7A kit. The RV-7A is an aluminum two seat aircraft which cruises at 200 mph and is aerobatic capable. More details on it can be found here:

I will be building it from a standard kit (as opposed to the more expensive quickbuild) and also opted to go with a slider canopy (vs. the tip-up) not just because I’m superficial and wanted to look cool taxiing in…but because of the ventilation it offers.
The primary purpose of this page is to serve as a log for the FAA. When I complete this project, I will have to prove to them that I built at least 51% of the aircraft; however, I thought it would be fun to post it out on the web for my family and friends to see…as well as other builders who need to learn from my mistakes.

Sounds good. I haven’t touched the project for a little over a year now. Waiting for the heat to go away and then I gotta re-organize the garage to get ready for the wings. Probably starting back up in early October.
